Our 3 favorite home decor trends for 2026
Welcome to 2026 — a year where interior style truly feels like home and we are so thrilled to embrace it. This year isn’t about styles that go out just as quickly as they came in or cookie-cutter looks like white & black that seemed to hang on for too long. Instead, designers and trend forecasters alike are celebrating spaces that tell a story, support wellbeing, and reflect personal identity and truly allow you to have permission to curate your home for yourself.
Here are our five favorite trends that we are loving to incorporate into our curating home designs this year:
1. Earthy, Textured, & Vibrant Color Palettes
Color trends in 2026 are leaning off of what we saw in 2025 and they are all about warmth, depth, and connection to nature. Think rich terracotta, moss green, deep blues, and jewel tones — colors that feel both grounding and expressive. These palettes move away from icy cool tones and minimalism toward hues that evoke comfort, calm, and personality.
Why we love it:- A balance of warm and cool tones is essential at all times to create a sense of harmony in your space. With so many houses being built or rennovated with cooler tones the last 10 years; the addition of warmth and texture into the furniture is a must and an easy way to bring in a sense of cohesivness and comfort without the added expense of another remodel.
How to use it or add it into your space:
- If you prefer a neutral and more timeless home color palette; curate textiles (throws, pillows, rugs) in these shades or complimentary shades to add dimension and depth to your space without over committing to the season's color.
- If you already have these warm earthy color tones in your home; pair with natural materials like wood and stone for a cozy balance. You can purchase an accent table, or console in a travertine, marble, or concrete finish to balance the earthy warmer tones seen in your furniture.
- Add an accent chair in a mossy velvet green, or a terracotta linen with a slight sheen to give your home a more grounded and personalized feel without going to the extent of a sofa or sectional purchase.
2. Curved & Sculptural Furniture with Textures & Artisanal Details
Straight lines and stark minimalism are taking a back seat as organic shapes and sculptural silhouettes rise in popularity. Curved sofas, arching mirrors, and rounded tables bring softness and flow into living spaces, making rooms feel inviting and lived-in.
Why we love it:
- Curved pieces add a sense of movement and comfort, making even modern interiors feel warmer and more human. With so many squared off walls, corners, and spaces, curves and textures are a must to ensure that the home still feels cozy, comfortable, and a space that makes you want to sit down and stay awhile. Balance is key; brining in rounded coffee tables or mirrors in a space with a hard shaped sofa, or adding a curved sofa in a room with so many hard angles, is where this balance plays out.
How to use it or add it into your space:
- If you have a more transitional home that does not have any curavture in your walls or if there are many rooms with a sense of compartmentalizing; use this as an opportunity to add a curved sofa into a hard space or a curved mirror onto a wall to help break up the room.
- If you already have some of these gorgeous curves worked into the structure and style of your home; adding complimentary pieces in accent tables or rounded coffee tables with textures and variation is key to bring a sense of unity.
- Balance is always necessary; a straight lined L shaped sectional invites us to bring in texture and shape into the coffee table, end table, and other accompanying pieces.
- Mix materials: woven rugs, velvet cushions, and hammered metal finishes. Never use the same material repeatedly in the same space; especially in great rooms.
3. Vintage, Nostalgia & Personal Storytelling
2026 is the year of nostalgia decor — incorporating meaningful heirlooms, vintage finds, and pieces that spark joy and tell a story. Rather than designing for trend alone, homeowners are embracing decor that connects to personal history and brings character to every corner along with evoking memories and a sense of calm.
How to use it in your home:
- Mix era-inspired textiles (think mid-century patterns) with modern layouts.
- Incorporate these vintage pieces into bookshelves and cabinetst — but balance them with simplicity so spaces don’t feel cluttered.
- Combine thrifted ceramics or art with contemporary furniture. These small things add warmth to the cold contemporary pieces
- Use artisanal accessories like handcrafted knobs or sculptural ceramics for small but impactful upgrades.
Our Takeaway:
2026’s home decor landscape emphasizes comfort, meaning, and individuality. This year’s top trends invite you to invest in spaces that feel personal, tactile, and timeless — not just trendy. Whether you’re doing a full makeover or a seasonal refresh, these trends can help you design rooms that truly feel like home. Our interior design experts are here to help you bring your home to life and add this level of personality. Sometimes it is as simple as an accent chair or added artwork or curved mirror.
